During the fight to defeat Amendments 3 and 4 last year, Gov. DeSantis’ administration spent at least $36.2 million in taxpayer funds.
His proposal also puts money toward state parks and expanding the guardian program.
In response, the Council on American-Islamic Relations and its Florida chapter said the organization plans to sue DeSantis.
Gov. Ron DeSantis has said he would redraw 2026 congressional election maps next spring.
